Saltford’s happy place!
The Bird in Hand is an independently owned and operated English country pub with a heritage of more than 200 years, located in Saltford, a village between the cities of Bristol and Bath in the UK. It caters for diverse clientele – those who enjoy a relaxed and convivial environment where they can unwind, socialise, and enjoy good food and drinks; discerning diners who appreciate an elegant and upmarket setting, delicious food and attentive service; and cyclists and other passers-by who stop for refreshments.
Versatile, independent, and local!
This village inn, recently stylishly renovated, upholds its old-fashioned countryside feel, but now with a fresh interior and diverse amenities in one location. It offers a traditional bar, a casual pub and dining area which serves classic pub food, and a stylish conservatory for an enjoyable dining experience.
The Bird in Hand is one of only a few remaining independently owned pubs in this region, and has the freedom to support local, small breweries to offer a variety of traditional British ales not generally found in brewery-owned pubs. It also supports local businesses, as far as possible, in sourcing ingredients and for rendering services.
A cheerful retreat!
The Bird in Hand patrons can expect an exceptional destination with a variety of tones and settings – a strong focus on tradition, a fresh approach towards modern-day trends and requirements, and even a touch of the unusual. But, overall, it remains true to what it has been from the outset – that special space in the heart of the Saltford community where hospitality, friendship, and the village way of life are celebrated in what has become the townsfolk’s own happy place!
